O_O Really? Huh. Only two turns with a 5+1. lol

"Ow! What the f-" Dom caught herself before she stumbled forward and tripped over the stuff she'd been holding up. She pressed a hand to the back of her head. "Damn, yeah, OK... point taken," she said. Damn suckerpunches and shit... she thought. Guess it would be that easy to get offed in a firefight, though. It was easy to picture Trol sneaking up on a guy like that with his knife. Speaking of him, it looked like he was issuing a challenge regarding empathetics. "Thanks, Major Cain. I'll see you later," she said, figuring the major probably wanted to be on her way to meet the matriarch.

Besides, she needed to train her empathetic abilities to be better able to feel people around her. So she went over to Trol. "I'll take you up on that, no hard feelings if I lose, I swear," she said, holding a hand up.

Tarran Smith

"Damn. Gah, must try harder!"

Shoot the targets again!

Your zen is not being strong, and you hit the target call again. Must shoot them, just think of them as... Your mind blanks on anything that you really actually want to shoot at right now. Fuck 'em, they're targets. [Marksman 3+1, 2+1, 3+1, 3+1 Vs difficulty 16, failed.] Gah! Your shooting isn't being anything better then mediocre. You can do better than this, where the hell are all those amazing super-special talents you're supposed to have?

Dominique & Trol

"Ugh, finally" get in a empathetics spar

Trol and Dom square off, in a physical fight you aren't sure who'd win, but in a mental fight Trol might have an advantage over Dom. As is common with empathetic fights it is about as interesting to watch as a hanful of rocks. Neither Trol nor Dom move a hair as the battle rages. [Dom A.Empathetics 2, 4, 2, 4+1] Vs [Trol A.Empathetics 2+1, 2, 3+1, 2] Startlingly, even though the only thing Dom has for her in this fight is sheer will, it is Trol who backs down first as his mental barriers come crumbling down. It was a close fight though, and both of you learn more than a little.

Dom Active Empathetics +2/8ths, Trol Active Empathetics +1/8th

Jamie Teague

After getting done with a few side jobs Jamie finally makes it to the Training hall. [Observation 2] Not seeing any of you he stops to unwind in a mock knife fight.

I hate you.

I'm supposed to be the leader and you take the spotlight.

You got more wounded and survived last battle than me.

You got a girl.

You can modify weapons and make them far more dangerous than they once were.

You used FREAKING PORN as a goddamn WEAPON.

AREAGFHGHBTRREDVRRR I'M GONNA KILL YOU ONE DAY.

To be fair the girl is a sociopath, though that may make it better/funnier.

And I can't modify your potential laser rifle if I'm dead now can I >:)

WON'T MATTER IF THE BONUS FROM PURELY KILLING YOU WILL GIVE ME +100 BONUSES FOR THE REST OF THE GAME.

Besides, there's always the Laelaps Laser rifle. Which looks awesum.

Two rounds, Tarran. On a five (+1). Just think about that for a second. :p That's what happens when you totally neglect Endurance, man.

After a few minutes of intense staring - which she felt she was at a thorough disadvantage at, damn those shades! - the match was finally called. Dominique breathed a sigh of relief. She had felt him inside her mind, probing around, trying to break through her barriers, even as she was trying to do the same to him. She could only dimly recall catching a few of his memories; working at a casino, being in desperate gunfights... She wondered what he had picked up from her. Probably a bit of the repetition of her life; how every day it was move this, move that, beat down a punk who disrespected her.

She was glad he didn't get much further than that. Some of her thoughts and memories were purely hers. "Well, uh, that was certainly... strange," Dom said. She laughed a bit nervously and crossed her arms. "Wow. All right. D'you... wanna go a second round?" she suggested. If not, she'd go by the signifier's office and pick up her equipment; she would probably need it soon.

EDIT: Just now noticed the thread title. Looks like the six of us (seven if PM gets to join the mission) are in for some trouble ahead. o.O
