Well, truth be told I am no film buff. I havn't seen every movie ever made, much lest all those ones made before I was born that every film student tells me it is a sin to not have seen. I just watch movies, I don't watch every movie. But reguardless, if we are playing the 'top 10' game, let's get started. So, without any relevance to order, just throwing them out as I think of them...
Scott pilgrim Vs. the world. (Action?)
So the comic was better, but that is always true about everything ever, so no surprise. This film was an epic about epic epicness. It showed young adults for what young adults are. It also had some great fight scenes, great music and cute girls, I know I should enjoy a movie for more then this, and I do, but they make the movie even better. Still, it is a shame that due to lengh restrictions, the story was cut short in some places, and therefor some scenes lost there meaning, and the great big message at the end was less then recognisable, still it is in there if you look hard enough...
Howl's movie castle. (Romance, I guess. I'm not good with my generas)
Ah, so amazing. The animation was a treat, and the
music was inspiring, but above all the story was full of win. Hayao Miyazaki did great things in this screen adaptation from the book, and realy did make it he's own.
Kick ass (Action)
Dear god this super hero movie is great! Hit girl just takes the show as the youngest super hero ever to be bad ass! Each of the protagonists is interesting for a change, and that isn't easy to do in the super hero world where so many stories have been told so many times. This movie seems both very childish and very adult at the same time. Just watch it, it is good, very good.
Coraline (Something creepy that isn't horrer)
Yes, Coraline. I think that movie was awesome. I do like kids movies, especialy ones that can be related to a slightly older audience, and this one did well for itself. I bet this movie would scare the hell out of little kids though, and that is worth even more points!
The beach (Adventure?)
If you havn't seen this, do it! Yes, I am getting more lazy with things to say as time goes on, ten is a large number for a lsit off the top of my head without going through my movie collections! Still, great movie.
When I think of more I will return.
