OK
So the Ahlonians are a scholarly race, who study science and became incredibly interested with chemistry and the biological make up of their bodies. They eventually worked out how to integrate themselves with everything around them, using their nervous system.

They were happy to share almost all of their technology with any other race with whom they came in contact to. Several times they were threatened and attacked by people they had allowed to use their technology. They became incredibly paranoid, and somewhat isolated themselves from everyone else. Anyone who came asking for their tech would then be judged, and if they weren't worthy (yeah, I know :P) they would annihilate them.

Their system, made of several stars, is linked together. On the second planet they colonized, they learned to create gates. Almost all areas on their colonized planets have these gates. All the requests for them (as they are called by a user) goes through 'hub' stations on moons or on separate space stations.

Their political system changed after the numerous attacks from people who they had given tech. At first, it was a largely central government, and then changed to every planet could look after itself without the need for a governing body.

The way their ships were able to move between the stars and system relatively fast, was designed by the HDEGRS (the higher dimension, energy and gravity research station), and found that there were a large number of empty dimensions, that were compressed to different levels. The drives they use require a large amount of power to operate, and the exact amount of power going to them had to be perfect, or they could slip into a dimension with matter in it, potentially killing them.

So, what do you guys think?

You said they traded technology right, the borzori won't shoot you if you have something of value.

I'm just writing the history for them now, and in The Boom, (they get partially destroyed), I was wondering what could have caused this.

Any horribly destructive races?
The Uniklids may be a little too destructive for this, with their moon throwing railgun, as they have to... uhh... survive. And stuff. So anyone who can include this in their own history is very helpful :D
