... that menaces with spikes of oak. Noble's room, anyone? I got a legendary carpenter out of it too!

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

Atom Smash the chair, mass produce wooden doors.  Apparently, any artifact that is removed, via macaque or other means (I had a crossbow stolen) is removed from the "l" list.

Ever since Urist McWoodCrafter was possessed.

Thank you, Urist, for this wooden mug that's almost worth as much as a bronze shield.

I still don't understand. Smashing the artifact won't change what happened. Am I missing something?

You're missing the rage the players feel when they see someone possessed.

And also the rage of getting ANOTHER piece of stone/wood craft.  I don't need anymore microcline earrings!

Yeah, but this was a chair. Someone will never tantrum again.

I've never had anyone tantrum, ever. But I'd still keep the chair, it's an a bloody artifact. OTherwise, just download the display case mod.

Nice one, not sure when I'll be feeling like killing a baby but these things are good to know.
This is why we can't have nice things... someone will just wind up filling it with corpses.

Sadly, adding display cases won't help a fort already in progress :(

Since he said he had a legendary carpenter from it, I'm assuming he wasn't possessed.

As for the chair, I'm sure that any noble who gets to sit on it will just orgasm in joy, so I'm guessing it's some kind of vibrating chair. That's what makes it an artifact.

It was a secretive mood. I'll put it in my dining room.

Yeah, legendary carpenter.  Have him churn out beds.  That's the only good use for wood besides bolts from that one underground tree.

I've yet to test out nether-caps.  With their constant temperature of 10,000 (freezing point of water in RL) they should be magma-immune, in theory, but I've not seen any hard evidence of this.  If they are, then you could make your noble's beds from nether-cap, so that when you magma-purge their rooms you don't have to rebuild the bed.

Why couldn't my vampire Hammerer eat someone useless, like a migrant? Instead, she went after my only gemcutter.. but sadly there were no witnesses, so I convicted someone's pet duck as the murderer.  It got off easy, with no beatings or jail time.  >.<
