Out of curiosity, how long does it take on average for the 3T HQ to get Tachyon Lances? I've basically been tooling around experimenting with different loadouts and taking down fleets waiting for them to get in stock.

Yes, doesn't the game use a simple code-activation system? That should be easy to gift.

It's random - not one of the weapons the station is guaranteed to get at any given time. Best *reliable* bet is killing fleets that have Paragons (yeah, easier said than done...). On the bright side, every station has a chance to get it - so both the Hegemony and Pirate ones are worth checking.

Also, Paul's Gun Runners mod has a station with every single weapon in the game.

The Gun Runners are basically the most reliable way to get any weapons. But the Hegemony warns people not to deal with 'dangerous pirates'...

Yeesh. Got that big mod pack, and most of the stuff is utterly imbalanced. Time to delete that and just add the GunRunners.


(Nomads? Impossible to bring down their shields in a 1v1 battle between equivalent ships. When the best tactic is to charge straight at them and take everything on your shields so they overload their own with weapons fire and then blow them apart, something is wrong. Plus, their ships aren't worth enough to bother capturing. Aliens? Complete shit, not even worth fighting. Whatever the hell the mod is that adds those (I'm guessing) long range gauss cannons? Fucking overpowered. Practically every addition is either overpowered, worthless, or underpowered. I'll stick to my vanilla+, tyvm.  ::))

Heh, I felt the same way about that mod. I tried to keep the Gun Runners ships in line with the default ones, and even then they may be a bit overpowered heh. Just having the ballistic guns on a Medusa (same stats otherwise) seems to be really strong.

I tried out that TimCORP mod, it's an exact copy of mine with a few tweaks here and there and the ships replaced haha ;D. Same faction color, same spawn location, same spawn timer, same code to make the station have all the guns. He asked to copy part of my mod to get his working properly, but I wasn't expecting everything to be copied.

Doesn't really matter to me. I just found that kinda funny.

That's a shame, Paul. I know you're not upset about it, but that's because you're a classy fellow.

Still, thanks for your work! So many of these mods are just fantastic fun, I love how they can really change to feel of things.
