i must say the last version is pretty enjoyable and playing it for the longest time of all versions atm.

maybe some way to "friend" hostile races might be something to add at some point... maybe bribeing at stations... or general "pirates like you when you kill the haegemony" or so.
or tri-somethings like you when you shoot haegemony or haegemony likes you when you shoot pirates... or going neutral over time after a few days of not attacking someone, etc

think atm when you attack someone once they go hostile forever.

Get Paul's mod and you can buy faction resets that make them neutral/friendly towards you.

I haven't gotten around to rebalancing my mod to be in line with the changes yet (although it only has a few ships, so it wouldn't take long). Not that having a Medusa with ballistic mounts is in any way balanced  8).

I assume it still works with the new version? I'm downloading the new version now. If I have the time I'll probably be putting out a new version of my mod for this latest version in the next few days. Will have to see what all needs to be changed. Been a little while since I played around with Starfarer modding :).

I've been using it just fine. Only had one crash with the new version, related to some sort of null value, and I have no reason to think it's related.

Hmm, actually I don't think I'll need to change anything. Seems to work fine, and my ships are still the same as their counterparts. I was thinking he rebalanced some of those ships, but I must have been thinking of a previous patch that I already corrected for.

A number of the weapons and module bonus things were rebalanced, but IIRC the last ship rebalancing was in the version before this one.

There was a change in the API that makes adding a station on the fly crash the game (which, iirc, your mod does on the 30 day mark). However, it's fixed in the next release (which is a bugfix release, and I'm aiming to put it out tomorrow).

Ah. I hadn't played to the 30 day mark yet, hehe.

I like the new storage station on planet 1. Funny that it's the same planet as I put the GR station last time I moved it after you had the Tachyon station spawning on the planet I was at , haha. Guess I should release a version and change it to another planet again.

If you piss off the Gunrunners, visiting your storage facility would be similar to doing blockade runs for the rest of your game. Unless you bribe them, of course. Not fun when you are dangerously close to an accident and that expensive Heavy Blaster gets lost just because you had to dodge that Gunrunner fleet on your way in.

So, I humbly vote for having the Gunrunners at a different planet. ;)

You can't escape :)

Hmm. You could just add a new planet altogether and have them orbit that... or, heck, just have them orbit the sun at some suitable orbital radius. Opposite the location of a known planet, and with the same period, is probably the safest bet.

Good question.
RP for instance. Hegemony and Tri-Tachyon wouldn't be too pleased with a faction that allows access to an arsenal they would prefer to keep control of. Besides, nothing more fun than trying to beat a fleet of ballistic medusa's. ;)
