A six legged giant pink giraffe with two sets of eyes. Beware its deadly dust! Or something like that.

The dust cause dwarfs to bleed to death in a matter of seconds, so it was quite deadly. Fortunately, after it slaughtered my soldiers it seemed perfectly content hopping in and out of a small lake, and it left the rest of my fort alone.

Ustxu Iceraped the Frigid Crystal of Slaughter was a glacier titan. It was the only one of its kind. A gigantic feathered carp composed of crystal glass. It has five mouths full of treacherous teeth, enormous clear wings, and ferocious blue eyes. Beware its icy breath! Ustxu was associated with oceans, glaciers, boats, and murder.

That's the only canon forgotten beast.

Think of it like Sim City, except with rival mayors that seek to destroy your citizens by arming legions of homeless people and sending them to attack you.

A towering eight-legged quadruped composed of green glass. It has wings and it knows and intones the names of all it encounters. Beware its fire!

Holy. Shit.

The worst one I had was a quadruped made of granite that sprayed dust everywhere. The dust made everyone blister, and it got tracked all over my fortress. The result? Lots of doctor experience, because shoeless dwarves check into the hospital with blisters regularly.

I've not found my forgotten beastie yet  :(

I've even chained up a war dog (no 2) and levelled the stone in the surrounding area to make a flat dining spot to entice it in.

(The first dog was eaten by a giant toad)

Forgotten Beasts aren't an above-ground thing. Dig deeper.

I gotta give Toady credit. He made a program that could generate monsters much more sick than any horror movie maker.

Brown, hairy gigantic crocodile with mandibles instead of a mouth, and armed with a deadly sting to beware was my strangest one yet.
