Ah, the Refk-23 variably malleable high protection storage container.
It's been so long since you've had time to yourself to admire such
a well crafted box. What could be in the box? Nanoscopic circuit thread?
Refined plutonium? High pressure disarmed explosive?
The number of delicate and dangerous items never ends.
Unfortunately, you can't open these boxes, you don't have a cryptocoder on you
nor do you have the means to construct one.
If you had one, you could break the seal and the metal shell would peel itself away.
There's really no way to pry the box apart because it has no seams,
though with enough force you could probably bend the metal and destroy whatever's inside.
Maybe there's a cryptocoder behind that door.
You'll try the door again.
Brute force didn't work, you'll try diplomacy this time.
Though you have gotten off on the wrong foot, you would be pleased as punch
if the door would kindly cease its obstruction of your mission.
The door does not respond.
You try groveling, groveling always works.
If the door would just get out of your way you'd buff all the dents out of it.
You'd keep it clean, you'd be its best friend.
Anything just to let you through.
You hear some light clanking and clattering behind the door for a moment.
The door acquiesces to your demands. opening up and revealing a much brighter room.
The room contains a large console that displays the statistics for a compressing machine that
serves to refrigerate an area of the ship a few levels below your current location for the purposes
of maintaining a livable temperature within the ship. Like some sort of sink, but for thermal energy.
It's on the tip of your tongue.
Incidentally, the room is a bit warmer than the storage room you're currently in.
I'm sure it just has to do with poor time management, there used to be a time where I could spit out updates like these daily instead of 5 times a week. Man were those the good old days. March of this year.
