nah re-grab the guard walk in.
chances are if it's a trap we would just be adding more men to it where as if it's a trap we still have a meat shield.

or we could just use alpha many learn techniques and power nap while holding on the guard like a teddy bear.

If the grip of is strong enough she can catch a few winks before the guard does anything about it gain a couple mind bullets.

The guard eventually comes to his senses and opens the door
he uses some little barcode on the bottom of his shoulder pad thing.
That must be what those stupid things are used for.

Finally.  When next we see TQ-02, we can tell him to forget the scanner.

Aegisotonin

Unfortunately, I doubt that "Aegisotonin" exists, as it probably falls under the category of "doesn't get its own bar."  Aegis was listed concurrently with other things that don't get a bar, you see.  However, it is an awesome name, and I strongly encourage that any Space Voyage character who gets access to a science lab try to develop this substance.

Ahem.  Look through the open door, then proceed with actions that might otherwise distract you from aiming your shield.

I spent my evening today reading through ALL of this

That's exactly what I did! Except it was more like in the middle of the night.

You'll be taking that shoulder pad bar code thing.
He won't be needing it where he's going.
Through that door where he will dutifully attempt to absorb fire on your behalf.

You attempt to read what his aegis is.
What are you, psychic?
He probably has roughly the same armor as any other nudist with a beat up face.
Judging by that other nudist without a beat up face and his brains on the wall,
you'd better hope their love for this goon keeps them from firing on you.

Wisely, you scan through the door.
It would appear that there is a janitorial engineer coming this way.

I don't usually visit this end of the boards, but I spent my evening today reading through ALL of this, and I found it all highly entertaining.

Well done, good sir. You've weaved a gripping graphical tale.

Thanks bro, it warms the cockles of my heart to see that people are still spending hours slogging through Space Voyage. It also warms the cockles of my heart when people post suggestions, make fun of my art, or accidentally listen to "For All Tin" Generally my cockles are pretty warm almost constantly. That's probably why I can still manage to update so much.

Hijack the cleaning cart. Ask Meat (let's call him Meat from now on) if he's on good terms with his coworkers, and whether they'd be willing to save his life if he were in danger of being horribly dismembered by a telepathic madwoman.

throw meat under the cart, take the engineer, his shoulder pad bar code should have greater clearance

I'd doubt it, actually.

Nope. Cleaners have the highest clearance: even the exec's offices need cleaning. I once had a job at a bank, and I had to maintain the access cards and access levels, as every other door needed a swipe to enter. Cleaners even trumped IT, and any changes to the system had to be made with someone from the legal department there, as well.

OTOH, he does not have a shoulder pad. Kill our beloved meatshield and hijack the mobile. Even if it is slow, it's better than walking. The engineer shall be our new and improved meatshield!

Do not kill meat.
Jump out form the corner with the gun out, and yell "Get on the ground!"
Jack his mobile, and clean him multiple times withit, then drive off.
After splattering his brains, ofcourse.

Shoot them both, take the alien's shoulder guards, and pose as the janitor.

Strangely, my first instinct was also to throw meat under the janitor's vehicle.

yell "Get on the ground!"

No yelling, no yelling.  Must be sneaky.  But you gave me another idea.

clean him multiple times withit

Cleaning equipment!  Once control of the janitorial stuff is assured, turn around briefly and get the messes out in the hall cleaned.  Then check to make sure the room door is closed before leaving.  Sneakiness assured!
