Meh, you presume too much.  Not everyone here is even capable of watching it the day it comes out nor should it be expected of everyone to watch it first chance they get.
If this was a pony oriented forum, instead of a single pony thread in a forum about short folk, they would have it coming to them if they look into a clearly marked spoiler thread.

Being the previous ruler of the land... is interesting, in a way... It opens up possibilities of such a wide variety... a crazy world and ponies hating each other?

I went theory nuts with this earlier.
To summarize my conclusion: Celestia and Luna are the perfect rulers. All they want is for their subjects to be happy. And not in a blind to the truth/covering up the cracks way.
Which means, if this is a preview of Equestria's previous ruler, then one can only imagine the grim reality that lies across the border.

Which leads us on to...
Why are there so few male ponies around? Simple. They're defending the border.

My point is, that whole argument we had about the proper plural of "Pegasus" is now moot, seeing as Celestia herself used "Pegasi."

So being a princess automatically makes her right about everything, including proper grammar?

The actual point is that the show is using the plural pegasi, so it is perfectly acceptable for us to use it as well.
