Honestly? Going into maze where you already know Discord is in control and believe what something in there tells you?

Fluttershy is the only one who does not fall for it and even then Discord forces the change on her. The only flaw in Discords plan is he leaves Twilight normal and thus plants the seeds of his downfall. Also Rainbow Dash is a little weird, yes she betrayers her friends after a carefull application of gray tint but its not to be disloyal but instead because her loyalty to something else (IE her home) was increased beyond that of her loyalty to her friends.

Anyway, as for the Pegasus/Pegasi thing, from a mythological stand point it is never determined as Pegasus was a single entity named such and not the name of the type of creature. There was only one Pegasus and it came from the severed neck of Medusa (another singular entity). Thus until recent times when people took the idea of winged horse and went wild with it there was no pluralization so as of yet you will find both. Of note though is that the dictionaries that I have checked all seem to go with the -si form and Celestia did say it that way. Plus Like Crazy Cow said, it was used in-show as -si so unless they also go and use the other form of pluralization in-show as far as MLP goes "Pegasi" is cannon.

Being the previous ruler of the land... is interesting, in a way... It opens up possibilities of such a wide variety... a crazy world and ponies hating each other?

Also, hilarious how Discord just ended up bonking Fluttershy to put her under his strings... but... does it make his hold over her weaker?

I don't think spoilers are necessary anymore, as the episode is available on youtube in pretty good quality. Anyone who gets spoiled at this point only has themselves to blame.


Anywho, Discord helps make some of the more fantastical things (like the manticore, or the cockatrice) make sense, as they'd probably be remnants from his rule. I wonder how the everfree forest fits into the timeline; maybe it's how equestria was before Celestia/Luna took over.
