Well, I believe the ponies being sold do have an applebloom with a cutiemark. But in show, probably not, unless we're switching to them as main characters.

On the other hand, the talent show episode already hinted at them having actual talents they just choose to bypass... but I think they'll save it for the series finale (or some other similar special episode) of series 2 if it's even going to happen on the second season.

   They get their cutiemarks in "My Little Ponies 2" where the three of them and some others (a pony like Twilight and a pony like Pinky) are the main characters. In all likeliness there will be a big movie or two part episode where they finally stop looking for something else and just settle for who they are. As I said, it doesn't seem to be the act of doing what they are good at that gives a cutiemark but the realization that what they are doing is their special talent.

I hope they get them at some point. Delaying inevitable character progression in a plotline is a surefire way to head into boring filler area.

Anyway, some guy (presumably on the production team) has posted two images from season two. As far as I know, these are the only images of season two ever released. Calling them uninteresting would be an understatement.

So someone famous saw something Rarity did and thought it was wonderful? Can we just get every famous fashion pony together and show them Rarity's work so we can get it done with all ready?

So she needs a pony...   I think I see where this is going...   I see nothing good coming of this

If you are going for cute the Fluttershy is the best option but, well, she has shy in her name and it fits

Though I will admit if you don't want someone to tell you no straight out she is the one to go to

Oh, I know whats going to happen, Fluttershy must end up out shining Rarity's clothing so the famous person will want her instead of the outfits

Just noticed but every other pony besides Applejack sings during the intro. Even during the one piece where it goes through all the ponies and they sing what they best represent (IE Kindness for Fluttershy) it is Rarity that sings for Applejack

Neither of them like what happened but each thinks the other is enjoying what they got

Oh, why did I not see it sooner. Of course what is going to happen is that Twilight ends up knowing both sides hate it but has promised to keep it a secret.

Pinky Pie never promised to keep it a secret and she seems to have heard both of the sides herself. Why doesn't she tell?

Being too fond of the status quo is a mortal sin. Again, I'm fairly sure that they'll get those marks, possibly during season 2.

The CMC are already on the verge of scrappy-ness, so if they don't get their cutie marks and start having more varied adventures/goals they're going to be universally hated.

Got to agree there. The pattern has been seen, re-seen and re-seen again even on the first season. To be honest, I also find a bit funny that they're originally very proud of their blank flanks and suddenly are willing to do almost anything to get their marks.

I don't see a problem with reading a story to a tree especially in a world so full of magic.

Though Applejack may be going a little overboard
