Yeah, kamina is awsome, but without lagann he cant beat a army on his own. In a 1v1 battle, sure he is awesome, but a untrained swordsman<trained gunman.
I do think that it is BS to allow brenner to take his whole army with him though (this is supposed to be one on one battles IMHO, not armies vs a single person)

Kamina charges again and again, but each time is driven back by tank fire!
Even the mighty wellspring of manly hot-bloodedness that is Kamina begins to dispair over the collossal difference in fire-power.

But a great shadow appears, and the mighty flying battship Dai-Gurren appears overhead!
Assailing Brenner's Wolves, Kamina is given enough time to confront Brenner, in his personal tank, one-on-one!

Ok Brenner wins in manuverability and firepower but if kamina can get on the tank brenner loses brenners best bet is to keep his distance and use the cannnon to keep kamina at bay
