You have a point there. Traders aren't very good at defeating self-aware giant transforming alternate universe Japanese robots.
Perhaps limiting it to just air form, since that attack is slower.

The powerful shell slams into the Gurren, heavily damaging it!
Kamina, seeing retreat as a sign of weakness, keeps charging!
A second shot completely cripples the Gurren, and Kamina emerges, sword in hand, ready to take on the tank himself!
That is, until Team Die-Gurren rushes in and drags him away for a talk about the difference between bravery and stupidity.

So, is anything changed for this fight?

Kane's a brilliant leader, but I can't see him defeating Eliphas in direct combat.  In fact, I can't see him defeating many people without a nice force of soldiers.

The guy can survive a lot, though.  Ion Cannon?  Tis only a flesh wound!

Sir, get the hell out before you talk shit about my 2 favorite characters.

Yar is Yar, he's the same no matter what.

Ashot is very probably to have that many guards, and considering he has enough money to buy several sniper rifles and a prototype military exoskeleton, it's safe to say that a tank or a Heli is not out of the question.

speaking of soldiers, which is Kane going to have here (if he gets soldiers to use)? normal Nod forces, Black Hand, or the Marked of Kane?
