I'll go find a big stick to use as a weapon. Once that is done, I will return to camp and guard it from wild animals... and Korean soldiers, too, but I'm guessing that I'd last roughly two seconds against them.

Unless that mountain is a volcano, there is no chance of you finding obsidian- and even then it would only occur very high up, if the temperature is cold enough.

Obsidian is more likely to be found on Islands then then just about anywere else for a few reasons, One, Obsidian is formed by rapidly cooling lava; cold air won't cool fast enough it has to be water (better circulation plus higher specific heat). Second, The massive amounts of erosion will uncover any obsidian, which is weather-resistant. and Lastly, I think someone saw some in their explorations a while back but I don't want to leave camp by myself.

I'll spend 3 hours getting vines, big leaves and big stick and then 3 more hours building some kind of shelter. Just poles with a roof at first.
