I can't remember the last time I had a proper baguette.  I know I've had some since my last move, but not satisfying ones with hard crusts.

I think the ones I'm remembering from my previous home had relatively thick crusts... yess, such that they were thick like leather when they were fresh!  So to bite into one was like tearing off a piece of meat, soft carbs wrapped in chewy crust.

And then, a day or two later, it even fought back.  Cronching through hardening layers.  Doing a violence on it, and enjoying the victory.

(There was more where I realized how this was kinda like how people enjoy rare bloody steaks, but I think I'll spare us all)
I'm just celebrating the mouth-feel   of food, with a bit of a horror angle.

Gods, relationship stuff is kind of a nightmare.   
I am not good at this. Or life in general, but y'know.   


Methinks it's time to have a couple shots of bourbon, crack open a beer and, thusly fortified, turn my phone back on.

I found the first eight offerings to be mediocre. Hopefully the great spirits will not be offended and spring will come yet
