Or just, y'know, kill them in their sleep.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Can you people stop discussing the most painless ways to murder people?  It's officially a bit too freaky.

If you want a certain, fast, and nigh-painless way of killing someone, give them painkillers and project an extremely intense beam of gamma radiation through their central nervous system.
Give them painkillers then detonate a nuclear bomb right next to their head. They wouldn't feel a thing.

This is pretty tame for the forums, really. And the conversation is interesting.
Just consider it as something that made your terrified :P

The upper boards are way worse than this.

I wonder what it says about us when a conversation on painless suicide methods transitions to painless murder methods and it is considered "pretty tame". :P

Would it calm you if we talked of other animals killing other animals instead?

Cos while some of them are quite courteous killers, going for the neck (not to cause bleeding, but to crush the windpipe and cause quick death) or throwing animals off of cliffs, some like Chimpanzee warbands or crocodiles are just dickheads who prefer success rate to efficiency. Nature is quite terrifying in that regard, of how many larvae eat things alive, of how you can chase after the sounds of one of your own infants in distress only to find out it was a mimic, or you can be envenomed and paralyzed to be grazed upon for days e.t.c.

Eww.

The upper boards are way worse than this.
Naaah, they're just gratuitous violence and/or minmaxing.

Sorry TBF but I saw a fascinating article (in-depth realistic fictional narrative?) about hypothermia, and needed to share it.  At least it does terrify me, it's not just discussion.

And somehow gratuitous minmaxing is better than this?

To be honest, its better than politics/ethics arguments we get like every single goddamn day. I'd happily listen to how best to kill someone if it meant I didn't have to listen to how horrible such-and-such is for disagreeing with whats-its-face for the infinitieth time. Might even come in handy for when I am forced to listen to that.

So, how about stray air bubble in hypodermic needles? Really as bad for your heart as I've heard?
