M'kay. That's actually not as bad as I first thought. See, I interpret shipping to mean "I pair people together and then write shipfics about them MWAHAHA *nosebleed*" rather than simply "I pair people together."

Writing shipfics about your friends is much more of a terrifying thought than simply gossiping about how" X should totally date Y" or "7 would be much happier with 9 than 8." I'm actually mildly disappointed that less people than I first thought are actually so creepy that they write shipfics about their friends. Suddenly the world seems much less socially awkward.
