So I'm listening to the night vale podcast someone linked, and I realize just how easy it is to convince someone they're insane.
I have a particular memory in mind that just came to me from nowhere. I was a child at this time, along with my sister. We traveled with our mother through the train station, where we were figuring out how to get... Somewhere. We got off on a train with a massive bustling of people. I think it was that the train had terminated early for some reason, and EVERYONE got off and the train left.
We went to a map to see how much we could avert our lost nature.
I'm not sure if I'll ever experience such child like terror - to be insane! AGAIN!
The station looked like this, but the lights gave a yellow hue to the ceiling. Everyone had left, there was no one on the station but us. There were no train attendants, no trains no commuters no noises but us. We looked at the time and the quickest train arrival was 16 minutes. We looked for an exit - and this is where we started feeling like something was wrong. There were no stairs, there were no lifts and no doors. The people who got off the train had vanished. We checked both ends at both sides and they looked exactly the same. Where there would be stairs in normal stations there were only brick walls. The only ways out we could see were the pitch black tunnels going off.

I don't even remember how we got out of the station. I only remember laughing and being relieved when we found the way out... What if I never left? I... I must write this. Late night brain, I LOVE YOU!
