Goldfish

A relatively small member of the carp family (which also includes the koi carp and the crucian carp), the goldfish is a domesticated version of a less-colorful carp (Carassius auratus) native to east Asia. It was first domesticated in China more than a thousand years ago, and several distinct breeds have since been developed. Goldfish breeds vary greatly in size, body shape, fin configuration and coloration (various combinations of white, yellow, orange, red, brown, and black are known).

Heh. There's this old russian folk tale of an old man and the goldfish, in which the (magical) goldfish grants wishes to the old man in exchange for letting her live.

I guess if he caught this goldfish, he'd grant it a wish in exchange for letting him live.

Also, I shall now proceed to mod in giant goldfish as a caste of carp.

Okay, but since I'm so stubborn, I'm going to point out that although it may very well a member of the carp family, it is not called a carp. It is called a goldfish.
