I did basically this several times a couple days ago, playing Ace Combat 4.

Afterwards in a different game I quit out several times to explore town and/or get the not-bad choices with the people I was talking to (Sakura Wars 5, Chapter 5), and more recently I reloaded like a motherfucker playing UFO: Aftershock when my guys kept dying because I was outnumbered like five to one, levelless, armorless, all that.  It was still like only the third mission.  :<

Falling a hell of a distance, de-pressurized, punched so hard I exploded by mining equipment, gunned down, exploded/melted by bio-waste, shocked and blasted, burned by plasma, perforated by chaingun, got my head severed by a flying sawblade as well as knocked off really high ledges by exploding sawblades, blasted apart by flak and an arcing shell, exploded by rockets that double as grenades, redeemed by a mini-nuke, and killed by my own dumb self one time or another.

After stripping nude, and running screaming into the enemy base with a shotgun I was shot down.
I killed a good five before dying.

(And I didn't strip nude either, i just like to think i was berserking)
