Joined a fairly empty server and started wiping the floor with it. In space I was nearly untouchable, evading missiles like some kind of super soldier. I end up flying into a 3v1 by mistake. Their team also had a good pilot, but he was flying a bomber at the time and couldn't contribute to shooting me down. (the game seems to have a really large skill gap between average player and untouchable)
So I ended up keeping more than half the enemy team bogged up trying to shoot me down when they have no idea how to properly lead a target or aim their missiles to hit a sharply maneuvering target for 3 whole minutes, and slowly pick them off one by one.
Then I get down to the last guy but I'm not in an ideal position and have to avoid one more missile from him before I can safely whip around and shove some cannon rounds into his cockpit. I evade the missile, probably making the guy scream hacker over the mic by now, but I wasn't as aware of my surroundings as much as I should have been, and when I cut my main thrusters (cutting your thrusters allows you to turn your ship while still traveling in your origonal direction) to turn and blow him away I drifted straight into an asteroid at someplace around 145km/sec.
3v1 is usually a death sentence for me, kinda funny to end such an epic stand with such an anticlimactic space equivalent of running a car into a telephone pole.
Game
Sounds like DoomRL to me, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's not the only rougelike with acid pools.
