Okay, update time.
It seems the people weren't happy with our country becoming more centralised, so we had to put down a small rebellion in the start of the year.
England asked for a royal marriage, which I accepted. I sent 5000 cavalry after the rebels, and we quickly won, although celebrations were muted as England broke their alliance with us shortly after the battle.
In October, Brittany requested an alliance. I agreed, since they're also allied with Aragon.
In April, 1412, I entered a royal marriage with the Palitinate. They still refuse to vote for us.
In July, I enacted a land reform in Zeeland.
In October, our land tech reached level 5, allowing us to use Men at Arms or Longbowmen. I chose Men at Arms, as they're more balanced.
In March, 1413, the king of Austria was elected to the Imperial throne, and the Palitinate started voting for us. Our new mission was to gain a royal marriage with France.
In March, 1414, France finally agreed to the marriage, so it seems the bribery paid off. Our next mission was to make Mainz vote for us. Enough of these missions and we might end up as Emperor.
In May, our naval tech reached level 5.
In November, we entered into a royal marriage with Oldenburg.
In June, 1415, the Hanseatic trade league opened a trading station in Zeeland.
In January, 1416, our trade tech reached level 5.
In May, our government tech reched level 5.
In October, our production tech reached level 5.
In February, 1419, one of our advisors died. I hired another to help increase our land tech investment.
In April, our land tech reached level 6.
In April, 1420, I used the military as a workforce to help improve the capital.
In May, one of our advisors died.
In June, I centralised the country again, leading to a temporary drop in stability.
In August, I claimed the throne of Friesland. If their monarch dies without an heir, it could result in a personal union, and we could inherit the country.
In September, I declared war on Friesland, using the claim as an excuse to avoid getting Asutria invovled.
In December, our naval tech reached level 6.
In January, 1421, we gained control of Friesland. I annexed the province, so we're one step closer to forming the Netherlands.
Now to finish off Brabant.
In March, Mainz decided to vote for us. Our next mission was to make Saxony do the same.
In April, we lost our first battle, as I was forced to retreat from a large Brabant force. We shall reinforce, then attack them again. They haven't yet moved to break our siege on their capital.
In June, Breda fell to us.
In March, 1422, Limburg, Brabant's last province fell to us. I forced them to cede it to us and become our vassal.
Aragon also declared war on England, inviting us to join in. I regretfully declined.
In June, the French controlled Pope excommunicated us. This isn't good, so I've started bribing the Papal States in order to avoid a repetition, assuming we survive.
In May, 1423, I hired an advisor to help lower our infamy faster.
In December, I began to bribe France. Hopefully they will lift the excommunication. I also built a glorious momument in Holland.
In May, 1424, our trade tech increased to level 6.
In June, our government tech increased to level 6.
In July, a revolt sprang up in Friesland.
I'd stationed troops there in case of that, but there simply weren't enough. The rebels have begun to siege the province. I don't plan on letting them take it.
In January, 1425, Burgundy declared war on us, while our armies were fighting the rebels. This will likely go badly.
In May, our production tech increased to level 6.
In July, Hainaut fell to Burgundy. In order to end the war, I ceded it to them, along with 475 ducats. I can make the money back.
In July, 1426, I entered a royal marriage with Brunswick.
In October, tradegy struck, and our heir died.
In January, 1427, our land tech reached level 7.
In November, England laid claim to our throne. I also enacted a land reform in Friesland,
In May, 1428, I recruited another 2000 troops.
In June, Utrecht attacked Gelre. Due to the fact that we had warned them, we were called into the war. This could net us Utrecht, or could go badly.
In December, the war ended, with Gelre annexing Utrecht. Bastards.
In January, 1429, some rebels sprang up in Limburg. They were quickly defeated.
In August, I commissioned another tapestry.
In September, more rebels appeared in Limburg. They were quickly defeated.
In October, our naval tech reached level 7.
In April, 1430, our whole nation breathed a sigh of relief as a new hier was produced.
So, a mixed two decades, on the whole. What's our next slider movement then?
