Good news, everybody! Norrec has discovered something horrible only one day into the turn! After some exploration she has returned with horrifying, bone-chilling news! And is slightly better at exploring!
After wandering north again, she came across some animal tracks and followed them. They appear to have led back to the cave she found before, and she hid and waited nearby. She thinks that some sort of magic was in effect there. Eventually some sort of creature appeared and entered the cave, but the lighting was too poor to get a proper look at it. As soon as it was gone Norrec came back to camp, leaving a marked trail that can be followed back. It's probably just over half a day's travel now that the path is marked.
She wants as many people to come back with her as possible to investigate the location, especially Tholtig.
It is currently dawn on the second day of the week.
Aside from some minor production by the fort, the only other notable event was when Shem entered an Odd Mood and built an Exceptional Granite statue of Akil, named Fort-Thunders.
Odd Moods are somewhat similar to Strange Moods, but can occur multiple times and can be triggered by events. They don't make artifacts, but rather high-quality, highly personal but otherwise mostly normal items. Irony Owl has already had one, crafting a nice ring.
An exceptionally crafted Granite Statue of Akil, God of victory, war and fortresses. It is constructed of Granite, and is decorated with Forged Iron, Silver and Gold. The Granite skin of Akil is decorated with an image of Goblins surrounding a Dwarf. The Dwarf is striking down the Goblins. The Golden hammer of Akil is decorated with an image of the founding of the Warhold of Icy Winds. The Forged Iron armour of Akil is decorated with an image of Shem Kilrudtabar striking the earth at the Cliffs of Iron. The Silver helm of Akil is decorated with an image of Pit Worms surrounding a Dwarf. The Dwarf is laughing.
Shem feels more skilled with Masonry.
The Statue could be further improved by giving it gemstone eyes.
