I like how someone posts something about feminism and the next post is the obligatory knee-jerk response from someone who clearly didn't read the prior post.

Yeah.  This thread delivers.  Not sure what, though.

Bilge?

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Anyhow no educated person believes whole heartedly that the Capitalist system as it stands is without flaw or without reasonable flaw.

It is the people who bought into the propaganda a long time ago who believe that it is a virtuous system. I remember the old videos that taught Capitalist theory and YES there was a time where they wholeheartedly believed, or at least some people, that the system in it of itself could create a utopia because the competing forces had to deliver it to you in order to beat their opponent. This turned out not to be exactly true for numberous reasons such as the assumed competence of the consumer, the exagerated pull of competition, and marketing overseas.

It doesn't take much research to find that the system had to be adjusted numberous times. Heck Corperations are an alteration and one they didn't think of, in fact by their existance they destroy several classical capitalist models, and they had to adjust laws to compensate.

Apperantly from what I can gather there is growing evidence that a socialist capitalist system is supperior to both oddly enough.

While socialism is sort of an utopia that will never truly work properly, I do admit that people often believe that socialism = godless evil state of doom. Many a time I've seen people cringe and emit waves of hate whenever someone mentions socialism, but don't actualy know what it means or how it works. When I mention that the very premise of socialism is actualy "nicer" (in theory) then that of capitalism, people look at me like I'm some sort of terrorist, despite not having an answer when I ask them what  socialism is about.

Apparently in the US saying socialism is the same thing as shouting HEIL HITLER! STALIN! FOR THE MOTHERLAND!

Well the main theory of Capitalism is that through competition people will strive to perfect themselves.

Distilled into their very essences both Capitalist and Socialist theories are utopian

Though yeah I don't quite understand the antagonism towards socialism. I mean, it is incorrect but it isn't jumping up and eating babies...

But then again read anything anyone writes about lets say Creationism and your faith in mankind will sort of drop.

People are intollerant of ideas that contradict their own to dark degrees

Yeah... as some countries found out the hard way... Privitizing everything doesn't always work.

In fact it can backfire quite spetacularly.

But not Libraries.  Libraries are just miraculous places where you can educate yourself with free books.

Funny coincidence, I was going to post the America song... but didn't.

Look at how that evil capitalist built libraries.
