So, today I had the strangest random compulsion.

I suddenly had the urge to burn instant coffee packets on the stove. Dads side of the family is lowkey pyromaniacal, so I suspect this has a genetic component to it.

Genetically speaking, creatures that love fire, and firemaking, and setting things on fire, were more likely to procreate and thus pyromania is continued and enhanced by natural selection.

When I was young I liked the idea of burning things, but the little cartoon firefly, narrated by… the guy from The Good Life I think? Pretty sure it was him but I also get the feeling it was Alexi Sayle, but that doesn’t seem right.

Anyway, I remember the cartoon firefly thing tie a match to his bum ‘cause he didn’t have his lights and the match burned down and burnt him and either he fell or the match fell and burned the kingdom to the ground so don’t play with matches you little shit.
