Actually, despite being a pain about every script on every site, once I allow the important ones it works great.

thanks, whoever it was that reccomended noscript.

Double Post

works for me.   But I mean, I also have chrome as a backup browser just in case.

I've tried that, and I still couldn't install addons. I could probably rollback to version 65, given that this shitshow of a bug only affects Firefox 66 and Firefox 60 ESR.
EDIT: Nope. Doesn't work. Rollback to version 64?
EDIT2: Nope. Attempting with version 63...
EDIT3: Nope. 62?
EDIT4: Nope. 61...
EDIT5: Nope. 60...
EDIT6: Crashed before I could try. Really? I went through Firefox 66, 65, 64, 63, 62, 61 before Firefox 60 decided to crash. Damn it.

So, Firefox is being a little shit today, declaring that uBlock Origin (an ad blocker) and NoScript are "unsupported", disabling them entirely.
Alright, I'll go and reinstall those addons...

FUCK. Ok, maybe I can open the download link in a new tab, maybe that might get me somewhere.

The fuck? addons.mozilla.org is in the whitelist of addon installation! What does it want now?! WHERE'S THE 'INSTALL ANYWAY' BUTTON!?
EDIT: Seems to be an ongoing issue. Here's the Bugzilla report for this issue, "All extensions disabled due to expiration of intermediate signing cert"
This is happening to me too, so something must be going on.

Judging by this article on the timeline of extension signing, I'd need to downgrade to Firefox 45 to get my addons back. It's beyond obsolete by Firefox standards, being released in March 2016. Even Firefox 45 ESR is end-of-life, that's how old this thing is.

Another Boeing 737 crashed. I thought we grounded those things already?

Fortunately it had already mostly landed when everything went sideways, so it just slid off the runway and into a river. Everyone got out okay. Still, wtf Boeing...
Edit: RIP pets in luggage compartment.

@ firefox
It's quite a world we're living in where my bleeding edge, 100% beta chrome based browser that websites often don't even recognize and only call 'chrome variant', is working better than firefox my old go to for almost a decade.   What happened firefox? you used to be the shit.  Now you are shit.

---------------------

My wtf.  Had a lizard in my room.  One of those wild cuban geckos we live with constantly.  It was sitting on my fan.  I turned off the fan and tried to slowly grab him to escort him outside where there is plentiful water and lots of bugs to eat.  I didn't wait for the fan to fully stop before going for him and he had the bright idea of jumping through the grate and on to a fan blade to escape the big stompy human.

WTF lizard, that thing was literally seconds ago spinning at blender speeds and you jump on it like it's nothing while it's still slowly spinning.  You are the bravest (or stupidest) little lizard I've seen in awhile.

P.S. Lizard is fine, I disassembled the fan, took the fanblades outside and shook it til he fell onto a bush near the porchlight.  The little invasive lizard is probably happily munching on moths as I write this.

@Planecrash
EDIT:  I never really thought about it.  Because I never consitered someone bringing a service animal or something on a plane, but they keep pets in the luggage compartment?  Isn't that un-pressurized?
EDIT2:  Of COURSE it's Florida.  Though supposedly it was a military flight out of Guantanamo bay.  Doubt there were animals aboard in that case.   Rip all the cuban anoles that were run over on the plane's way to the river.  I save one from it's own stupidity, probably a few more die by planecrash.

Came across a suggested fix for the Firefox issue:

"go to about:config and set xpinstall.signatures.required to false"

For whatever reason, it's not affecting me. My extensions are still working.

If you do that, be sure to re-enable it after things work again. It's a security feature; disabling it leaves the possibility of your extensions not being the files they say they are, so only download new extensions from sources that you trust completely.

I tried exactly that; I still can't install extensions. I guess I'll wait for this mess to blow over. Unless I'm mistaken, that only works if you're running the dev builds, not the release builds.

Same issue just hit me. One moment everything is peachy, then a pop-up notifies me all my addons are off because they're not verified. Fucks sake.

That's the thing tho, this wasn't caused by an update or anything as I have those on manual install only (even if that proved to be a big fat lie at times) (I also love how never check for updates isn't even an option anymore). One day it was fine, the next day it wasn't, nothing changed between those two points except the fucking date.

I also had the same thing happen even though my Firefox is set to never update.

I managed to fix it by setting the date on my computer to last month and resting firefox, then putting the date back to the right one.
