How large is this kingdom? Could it be described as "Big"? Does it export cornflakes at all?
Don't know yet! All I know is they employed the MC's music teacher's (or at least the guy that taught him to read, after which the protag used the guy as a cover to plagiarize beethoven and whatnot) previous student of notable accomplishment. Well, and that the Kingdom of Shaq is known for its boldness. That's the totality of information provided to the point I've read.

E: ... and now the story has turned in the direction of "Where's Waldo", with a game of multi-century prophecy tag starting to be played between the protag and a sorcerer from a millennia ago named... Waldo. Waldo K. Maskelyne. Who has left messages in a pocket dimension and gods only know if they're going to start showing up elsewhere like a red and white striped shirt wearing golden thumb.

I never really understood the appeal of banning things, anyway.

Indeed.

You prevent one group of criminals from getting their hands on it in exchange for another group of criminals getting their hands on it.

Doesn't that sound productive?

Exactly! As they say: If you ban violence, only criminals will be violent.

I really need to work on putting my thoughts into coherent arguments BEFORE I post...
I can never understand the "make every drug/thing less dangerous than alcohol/cigarettes legal" idea, because not only is that applicable to a LOT of things(especially the cigarettes) but banning either of those would lead to more mafias
My points were...
1. Since there are lots of things less dangerous than cigarettes or alcohol, that are illegal, it being less dangerous than one of them shouldn't be a reason for unbanning something
2. Last time we tried to ban alcohol, mafias formed, and presumably would do so again, so banning them no matter how dangerous they are, is difficult
3.I was referring primarily to the people I've corresponded with, who think that we should either make things less dangerous than either or both of the two legal, or ban them. I often times forget that such views are apparently uncommon outside of my area of Wisconsin.

As for economic reasons for unbanning something, the same thing also applies to any other illegal drug, so by itself is not valid argument.

I suppose I should say that I'm not necessarily opposed to legalizing medicinal marijuana, but recreational usage I definitely am, and I do remember hearing something about some sort of extract with the positive medicinal effects, but not the getting high part, which is something I am all for.

I remember once burning the mafia because they thought I was town but wasn't on the very last night. And I could kill the godfather at night but mafia couldn't touch me at night. That was a satisfying win.

Legalise all drugs, criminalise the side effects.

It is now illegal to be stoned, but you can have a literal mountain of cocaine. So long as you just stare at it and brag about how expensive it is.

Having the munchies is now illegal! It's only a matter of time before the former-drug dealers start peddling Doritos and Mcdonald's, cause trying to get them legit is too risky.
