My dad REALLY REALLY doesn't understand my asthma.

He keeps asking why I don't exercise (outside going for walks) and I keep telling him that my asthma (it is chronic and so bad I can feel it even when I am at rest between doses) makes exercise really difficult and painful.

Even going as far as to criticize me whenever I do anything that causes it to act up (like running up and down stairs will cause me to breathe a bit)

Slap them in irons! One gantelope and five years penal labour, I say! That should teach them to play with fire. Indeed, that could be the new tradition, the Flogging of the Arsonist, if the goat is no longer available.

From what I heard, it didn't survive even 12 hours after its party. According to Wikipedia, the '99 goat was burned "within hours", so this might or might not be a new record. I'd suggest the vandals be punished by having to pay for the next year's goat. Saves a cool 100 000 kronor from public fund and hurts enough to discourage the 'tradition'.

It is true in some cases. Though once again, right now I can't do the exercise he is asking of me.

My mother has received a peculiar letter. It is addressed to her as "Mrs. N.N." (with her name in place of 'N.N.'), with no sender address. The name and address are written in a large, blocky handwriting with a permanent marker, which looks like it was written by someone either very young or very old. The envelope is a reused envelope from the Finnish social security government branch. The stamp is marked, but the envelope isn't, meaning the stamp was also pulled from something and reused, and the letter then delivered by hand (which makes the stamp and even the address pointless). On the envelope is a message in grammatically incorrect Swedish, translating roughly to "Merry Christmas and the mouth sweet!" Inside the letter are three pieces of chocolate candy, with no message.

Our family is currently wondering who the hell sent the letter and why. We haven't eaten the candy.
