There is an issue of Empire, the film magazine, on the coffee table in my house.
I'm not sure whose it is, but I don't think they have great taste in magazines.
Bleedin' Heck!
DEADPOOL
Introducing the new sweary, smart-ass superhero
What?! "New"? Where the hell did they get that idea from, Deadpool's been shitting up comic stores everywhere for
years.
And it only got worse inside as I flicked through. It seems their main, featured preview for the year 2016 is Captain America: Civil War.
Disgusted, I quickly turned a couple of pages only to see some Assassin's Creed movie also featured. Do people who watch/get hyped for that kind of trash actually read magazines anymore? I mean, I guess magazines used to be kind of a trashy, lowbrow kind of thing... but wouldn't those folks have moved onto Buzzfeed and Cracked articles by now?
Just who is the magazine's target audience, here?
I'm not sure why I decided to rant about this. Guess I felt like ranting about something.
Could have mentioned that annoying housemate of mine and how, since getting back from overseas, he seems to lurk in his room for days on end, creeping out when the house is dormant and hurriedly scuttling back in there if he encounters me. That's how it seems, anyway.
I get the feeling he'll probably move out before long. Apparently he mentioned that to one of the others.
Funnily enough he actually hasn't been annoying me since he got back, so I'm not as excited about that as I would have been.
Edit: Oh! I forgot to mention how I listened to a song earlier that pretty much fucking
knocked me out. It was just so very relaxing that the first note had me nodding in my seat. Somehow I managed to stumble over to my bed, headphones still on, before passing out.
Sure, I accidentally woke up pretty early this morning and didn't get as much sleep as I would have liked, but that was unprecedented.
I'll have to listen to that record more often. Probably buy it on tape if I can track down a copy when I get paid.
