Not enough pieces of fiction give winged creatures the proper wingspan. Little tiny sticks coming off their bodies that probably couldn't hold up creatures half their size. Admittedly, probably for conservation of resources, or in games, a concern for collision or other engine problems. I think Dragon's Dogma is a little better in that regard, but it may just be me fanboying over Grigori.

like people talk about Toby Fox's leitmotif work in Undertale but all that is infantile compared to Descend, I'm not sure there's comparing to this goddamn song, the only similar things I can think of are a few dance remixes and the 20 minute Garden of Eden

No, the flood don't have genestealers.  Well no they're fundamentally different, parasites rather than biomass-spawned xenomorphs.
And the covenant aren't like Eldar... almost at all?  They have energy weapons I guess, but more so than the Eldar do.  Who thinks that the Sangheili are elf-analogues?

And, this might seem minor but it's actually important, the human marines in Halo don't wear full-body power armor with ridiculous massive shoulder-spheres.

Terrans have more in common with Samus Aran than with Halo marines.
