I think Africa's wars and nations that have come and gone just over the past couple of decades would probably take an awfully long time to cover due to the sheer number of them.

It's more like how they don't talk about virtual particles in high school physics; things that are very tiny and don't exist long enough to be properly measured or observed are only of interest in very limited and specific circumstances

But Africa is pretty big and has existed for a very long time. I know I'd rather have had a look at some ancient Africa than yet more World Wars or commies.
