Playing Pathfinder today. Same group, different DM, different campaign. Other DM wasn't able to play today. Told me he missed it because he never knew about there being a game this weekend, and told others earlier today that he was unable to play.

Which is fine. I like this group, and this module is fun so far. Though I wasn't allowed to buy a metal quarterstaff, which I found odd. The book states that staves are made of wood though, and they don't even have a listed price, so I don't even know how much it would take to make.

Still, I'd rather go by the book than my other DM making stuff up and misreading things in his favour. The group talked about his campaign, since he wasn't there. They aren't too happy about his play style either. Especially one member, whose character was completely shut down by the DM stating that he cannot make trip attempts, even though knocking opponents prone is what he built his character around. He also nerfed our bonuses to combat maneuvers by disallowing anything that adds to your base combat maneuver bonuses. For us, anyways. Seems like our opponents can still trip, push, and disarm us without effort.

There's also his ability to create a story, but that was not discussed.

I've played with him before. He's rather by the book, which is fine. Plus he usually just runs modules rather than creates his own stories, so there tend to be fewer plot holes, loose threads, character-assassinations, and stolen content from other sources.

to be honest, a lot of the modules are pretty solid. Can't complain tovmuch there.
