The dress is factually blue and black. I switch back and forth when I see the original image, though.

I showed it to my friend. He saw it as white and gold. I started angrily yelling at him for seeing wrong.
He blocked the right side of the image so he could only see the dress and he started seeing it as blue and black.

It was gold and white when I looked at it.

Then I looked at you saying "blue and brown", looked back and it was blue and black.

Well, the dress is apparently actually blue and black, after using Googles reverse-image search.

No matter what way I look at it, it still looks white and gold to me :-\

It looks gold and white, but it's actually a veeeeerrry pale blue. (Even more pale than Alice blue, it seems.)

There's also a chance the light being shone on it was colored to begin with.
