Sadly, I was born kinda male on the outside but this does not work for me one bit in so many ways. Hopefully I may one day have that corrected. Until then, and presumably after, I'm rather happy this community accepts me as the woman I am and should be. Thank you all.

The world is FAR from a nice place and basic precautions make it slightly more safe. Trust me, that's unfortunately the way it is. People are FAR too open about stuff these days. It can and will come back to bite them in the ass, as several people who have been fired for facebook and other posts have learned the hard way. If this seems odd to you, then that is sad.

I dunno, I've been out about being trans for a long time, and I've only gotten occasional transphobia mostly out of ignorance. That may just be the fact that I live in a fairly progressive city, though.

I'm actually incredibly happy for you, and am envious. I told my teacher, a nun, I felt like I should've been a girl and wanted to wear pretty clothes and do girl things when I was in 2nd grade. She then calmly told me I was an abomination against God and that I was going to hell no matter what. She said that while I was going to hell no matter what, I at least shouldn't drag others down with me, so I should kill myself to save anybody else from damnation. After that she instructed me in how to hang myself to death in my closet with rope and if I didn't have any ropes with linked together belts. She made it a point to tell me to leave a note to my mom and dad saying it wasn't their fault.... That was her "logic."

That's just a small excerpt from the beginning of the incredibly long list of transphobic shit I've personally endured. You are incredibly lucky if you have not experienced major transphobia.
