I think that one is lake effect snow, look at the rest of the midwest and eastern US, MASSIVE amounts of snow from this polar vortex.

I for one, am glad I'm not getting hammered in by all that snow. It would be VERY unusual for it to snow where I live in the lowlands (that is, not mountains) of San Diego.

It'll be wonderful and amazing and terrible if we actually get snow down here in florida. It would be incredibly unusual, in that "Hasn't happened since early 90s" sort of way, but... just amazing. Most of the state would entirely flip their lid. You haven't seen bugfuck until you've seen a floridian with substantial snow in the homeland.

... actually, I haven't either, but I can imagine it. It would be great, excepting all the people that might die in the process.

The entire state would probably be shut down by a quarter foot of snow.  Might even declare a state of emergency, considering how people reacted to the last early morning dusting of snow less than an inch(Probably closer to a centimeter) deep 2 or 3 years ago.

Somebody made a 6 inch high snowman and it made the local news.

I'm in Northeastern Ohio (practically in Michigan really,) and I can confirm the snowfall. It isn't too ridiculous now, but the winds are always vicious this time of year and both the wind and the snow are projected to increase later today, and keep going for a good long while.

It's just a little dusting compared to New York though, there are cars buried in snow over there.

My WTF: Arx's use of  "rabidx" turned into "Radix" in my head, and before I knew it I thought Arx was saying Radix Malorum est Cupidatis, translated into "money is the root of all evil." Dunno if he's using subliminal messaging, but it's more likely that me using it in an essay earlier today prompted it

So, I'm failing at least one class. Getting above perfect on the exam would not save me.

A classmate decided to send an e-mail addressed from me to the teacher. An obviously fake sob story intended to elicit sympathy.

I don't think my anti-anxiety medication is strong enough to deal with this.

Holy shit, the teacher actually agreed to make my exam worth more of my final grade.

Trying to find a pronunciation for the word "alraune", I instead discover that "alraune" is the German word-counterpart to "mandrake", and that mandrakes were supposedly grown under gallows from the semen of hanged men(during their apparent deathgasm) a, and that there was a book titled Alraune about a scientist who impregnates a prostitute with hanged-man semen, resulting in a psychotic, loveless, sexual deviahnt of a girl named Alraune. And I thought the plot of Lolita was fucked up.
