Its meaning over there is more like creepy jobless basement dweller who happens to be obsessed with nerdy stuff. Which is amusing since the anime fandom in the West didn't really get the memo about how stigmatized the term is, and thinks it just means anime fan.

I ran a battle in SSB43DS for long enough that all background music stopped completely. I had to restart the game in order to listen to anything other than noises and voices. I have my tunes back now, but not having them for an hour was unnerving.

I didn't have to lose any data, though, so whew.
