If America was stealing all the world's snow, surely I'd be getting a larger cut of it myself. We got two inches of ice right now after the snow partially melted and refroze multiple times. Prior to that, the last snowfall completely thawed and flowed away. This isn't winter in the northwest; I would expect a minimum of 8 inches to remain until mid-march.

Clearly, Antarctica is stealing all the snow.

Being fair to the discussion, you might be able to convince me to kill for some snowfall. Life sentence might actually be worth the reaction of Florida to a genuine white out.

Fortunately, there's not really any means for murder to change weather patterns, at least on the scale I'd be able to manage on my lonesome, so the temptation isn't really there. Unfortunately, the temptation isn't really there because there's not really a means for murder to change weather patterns, etc. Ah well.

If they're 9 then thats the time to be 'horrified'. Unless it's just the kid claiming they are.

Heh. Reminds me of the time my brother was 4 and already had a harem of girls following him around daycare.

It's like a slightly changed Pythagorean Theorem.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I wonder, if you killed enough people, would the blood shed be enough to change weather patterns once it's evaporated? Like, how many innocent lives would that take?

Edit: It's funny, Canada had temperatures higher than Mars, but here where I am, the temperature will barely dip before -15.

Guess the lake really DOES have a mitigating effect this far north from it.

According to Russian news channels, the ongoing winter storm in the United States of America is expected to bring temperatures across the Midwest down to -50 degrees Celsius.
Judging by how temperatures of -10 degrees Celsius with a little bit of snow can easily paralyse large areas of the US, the sudden onset of Siberian winter will surely lead to apocalyptic consequences.
Probably the temperature estimates were a little bit incorrect, though.
Nope. The temperatures are accurate; that's what we're seeing in our reports too.
http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2014/01/05/22187316-only-getting-colder-blast-of-frigid-air-set-to-smash-records?lite
"Wind chills may reach 50, 60 or even 70 below zero —temperatures much of the country has not seen in decades." (though keep in mind, that's F; so -45 to -55C)

And apparently some places are already below -30:
"Already, parts of New England dropped into the negatives Saturday, with East Brighton, Vt., seeing 30 below zero just after midnight and Allagash, Maine, hitting minus 36."
Apocalypse.
