My new earbuds are acting weird. I was watching an LP, and the game sounds came in clear, but the commentary didn't. I tried my old earbuds, and they played the sound correctly, so I don't think it's the video. What in the fuuuuck?

I've had this too sometimes, usually it was caused by the earbuds not being correctly plugged in. It's especially weird considering that the plug only has two contacts, therefore only one transmission channel. Makes no sense, I tell you.
EDIT: Wait no, it has three contacts (so two transmission channels), but those would only be for stereo support, right?

So a friend came over today, and he used facebook on my laptop for a bit. He has this really neat pirate language thing on it. And for some reason, it sticked with the login screen. So now my login screen is in pirate while the rest of it is in Croatian. Slightly confusing every time  I log in.

Instead of "running" a program, which implies thin privilege and pressure to "work out", programs are "given birth". After birth, a program has a 40% chance of doing what is done in the code, 40% of "not in the mood" (i.e. nothing occurs), and 40% of randomly reorganising the execution order of the functions found in main(). Math(s) don't real.

I get ≈140 kiBps at the best of times. I cannot comprehend how you can complain about those speeds. Though, I do have to wonder what sites you're visiting, considering I rarely have issues on my apparently way too slow connection.
