Not sure what your literary tastes are, but you might well enjoy Neil Gaiman's short story A Study in Emerald. It's a well-written Lovecraft/Sherlock Holmes mash up, and you'd like the description of the Queen I think.

Thank you good sir, I've been  working my way through it since you sent that message. I'm using my phone though, but from what I've seen the descriptions fit my idea of the Queen very well.

Most roman peasants used to wear short skirt.

It didn't seem to create any problem at those times :)

I find that SOME men are looking at women in skirt with some dirty glances, and that it's quite annoying, especially when it comes from people you are working with.

...But they're not. A kilt is different from a skirt, not the masculine form. I mean, we don't call pants "Lady trows" when women wear them do we?
