Interesting, and where is the creepy?

I see art, but eh, everyone sees different things as creepy.

Considering that the bird used to be alive at one point, before being calcified by the lake, it's at least a bit morbid.

The lake in colour is just trippy though. The bacteria in the algae within the lake is what turns the lake red. It also contributes to the flamingo's pink plumage when ingested.

Another interesting note, basic stuff tends to cause saponification of the skin. In other words, it turns skin fats into soap.

The Soapskin Effect (feel free to use in your band name) is hardly surprising since, well, that's pretty much how soap is made in the first place. Soap is the product of hydrolysis in basic environment, or, in common parlance, dipping fats in bases.

I see all these "Money doesn't buy happiness" posts on Facebook.
And all I can think of is the fact that being surrounded by piles of money and pointless shiny objects would make me the happiest person ever.
