My cats have been known to bring half a carcass and leave it on the porch. One time, we also watched as one of them ripped off the leg of a freshly killed rabbit, and slowly, but steadily devour it, bones and all. When it was done, it spit out the foot. I really wish I could have caught that on video.

So I fire up Photoshop for a bit of painting before Pacific Rim. Open up a canvas, and go to select a different brush (using my tablet all the while), when I find the one I usually like I click it and instead of selecting it a big white square appears on the screen where the cursor was. Reapeat the process with different brushes and the square just moves to where the cursor was. Try it with the mouse and it works fine. The square is still there, even with everything minimized and can't be interacted with but doesn't allow interaction with anything under it either.
