One more thing. My farts have stunk so bad the last couple of days! I think it's the chinese food I've been eating.

Don't buy things from TigerDirect. They're awful and sell faulty equipment.
Do you have an alternate suggestion? I'm pretty sure you're right.
Newegg.com is a reputable and reliable source of computer equipment.

I don't understand the hate around tigerdirect and newegg, one always leads to the other and its just a unless circle.

I've only had good experiences with Newegg. No clue what the other place is.

Same here. Newegg was helpful for research.

TigerDirect is this horrible used computer and software store. I bought my first computer from them and it failed in five months, due to the hard drive. It had a degradation problem that it shouldn't have experienced until about five years, and even used it was not that old. I think they stripped out the original hard drive for a third-rate one.

They also sold me a useless antivirus (CA Security) and tried to go back on the computer's warranty when it failed.

I have to jump on the newegg bandwagon. I've never had any kind of problem with them. But tigerdirect shipped me a dead computer and it was impossible to get it returned/repaired.

Several components that I bought from Tigerdirect either failed a few days after their warranty expired, or were labeled in an extremely misleading way, resulting in my purchasing quite obsolete components at slightly less than the price of newer ones. By contrast, Newegg was perfectly happy to exchange a PSU that exploded a few months after the warranty actually expired.

So I found this. A Science vs Religion discussion, scientist defending his book against a Muslim. Now this is all very interesting and such, but the WTF is that after watching that, I felt that Richard Dawkins doesn't have his shit halfway together. He makes overgeneralizations that he gets called out on again and again, he falls for twice loaded questions and hedging, he has a poor grasp of Bayesian reasoning and information theory, and he even has the wrong idea of science (Love is testable, but not scientifically?). Seriously.

I kind of agree with this guy.
Why? He's being a patronizing ass towards anyone who doesn't live in an area with high-quality, reliable internet infrastructure. Added to that, his examples are full of shit. Mobile service is a requirement to use a mobile phone. Electricity is a requirement to use electronic devices. An internet connection is a requirement to download games, or to play them with other people who don't live near you. It most certainly would not be a requirement to play a single-player game that you already have if companies weren't trying to artificially make it one by pushing this always-on bullshit. He's got a touch of superficially decent rhetoric, but that doesn't mean he's right.

Oh. If that's the case, then apologies for flying off the handle.

I kind of agree with this guy.
Sort of shows a disconnect between a guy who has access to good internet and one that doesn't.

I mean, I don't approve of it as DRM, but I don't think it's too ridiculous to design things assuming everyone has internet access at least periodically.
