There is a Jedi "centre" around here. They get into the local press once in a while when they get refused entry to places for not removing thier hoods, assuming the law protects religions that have 100% been made up as a work of fiction (as opposed to ones that are only very probably made up). One of them got beaten up by an intruder to the "centre" who was dressed as Darth Maul, and elected not to press charges on the grounds that it was his natural enemy.
Props you must give to one who suffers for faith does.
I think the longest branch goes back to an Imperial prince-bishop in the Reichsabteien of Fulda, circa 800AD.
It of course goes without saying that you are planning on doing a Paradox Megacampaign starting with this person when The Old Gods comes out.
Sadly, I don't think he held land. His title was
Graf im Fulda, which translates as "Count
in Fulda" rather than "of Fulda". Since it was an Imperial landhold, he could be a local noble who administered the region but did not have de jure title to it.
If he's listed though (even as a local baron of some kind), I'm totally playing him. All Hail the mighty von Lutere Reich!
Fun fact: said noble is also the progenitor of Martin Luther, who is therefore my umpteenth cousin many times removed.
My ex-wife is descended from some of the Mayflower colonists, from some Anglo-Scottish border reaver nobles, and on one branch, some minor English nobles that predated the Norman Conquest.
