Apparently my family clan (mac Neil or MacNeil) descends from a legendary (or perhaps mythical) High King of Ireland, Niall of the Nine Hostages.

After that, I don't really know.

I think I'm faintly descended from that Irish berzerker dude with the warp spasms.

There is a Jedi "centre" around here. They get into the local press once in a while when they get refused entry to places for not removing thier hoods, assuming the law protects religions that have 100% been made up as a work of fiction (as opposed to ones that are only very probably made up). One of them got beaten up by an intruder to the "centre" who was dressed as Darth Maul, and elected not to press charges on the grounds that it was his natural enemy.

Happened in the UK a few years back, but it was based on the misconception/urban legend that if enough people included the same write-in it would be accepted as a recognised faith - which is complete bollocks as it happens. No idea what proportion actually put it down though.

Smoking was (still is?) a religion (The Holy Ash, Smoke and Flame or something like that) in the Netherlands a while ago when smoking was going to be banned in bars.
