I just had an idea to make the conversion to metric in the US easier: the metric Imperial units. A metric yard is the same thing as a meter. The metric mile is 1760 metric yards. The metric pound-mass is 2 kilograms.

On the other hand, if we wanted to go even further from metric, we would abandon the second and adopt the microfortnight.

Ah hell naw. It's bad enough that we've got to convert distances, weights, temperatures, and other stuff. Just be glad that we all use the same measurements of time <_<;

One thing I think they *should* change is the calendar. We could have 13 months of 28 days (and one with a 29th day) so we don't have to ask "hey, is this a month with 30 or 31 days?" all the time. And February wouldn't be an odd duck.

Might as well make every month 4 weeks too, though that'd leave one month with an 8 day week.
