EDIT: Also, the Russians are apparently sitting on top of $1,000,000,000,000,000 worth of asteroid impact diamonds. 

One wonders why on Earth they let the Soviet Union go bankrupt if they had this available to them. Alternately, they could just sell them ALL now, competely refill the Russian state coffers (and make many, many people rich from embezzlement) and completely collapse the world diamond market and put DeBeers and the like out of business.

It is only 1 trillion in pre discovery diamonds at the price set by the DeBeers monopoly group. Diamonds have very limited intrinsic value and the only reason they are worth more than amethysts is the market manipulation of DeBeers.

Whether or not its valuable as a shiny, it says these diamonds are harder than ordinary diamond.  Thats alot of puncture power.

My brother is an asexual. Apparently, his view on sex is "Meh." (Yes, he's been there, for the record.)

For him, though, it mostly boils down to the fact that he doesn't like people. At all.

For me it's that sex is just fucked up in every possible respect -- socially, politically, spiritually, and physiologically.  It's not really so enjoyable as to be worth wading through all the bullshit.  Would rather have that biological imperative disappear.  I imagine life would be much more peaceful.
