Actually, the idea that American beer contains less alcohol comes from the fact that most European beers alcohol content is measured by volume, whereas American beer is measured by weight or some wierd ass shit, because fuck Europe and their 'logic'. They have the same alcohol content. Knock the flavor all you want. It all gets you drunk.

Personally, I wasn't refering to american beers being watered down. Rather, I am pointing out that a beers the likes of Budweiser cannot hold a candle to Heineken's or, even better, Amstel's, both dutch macro beer breweries (Amstel was bought by Heineken).
