As someone who has gone to a chiropractor from a young age and spends most of the time hunched over a desk I can say it does actually work.

However, there's a lot of bull that surrounds the whole thing. The chiropractor I go to is at the more scientific end of the scale - it makes sense that bones pressing on nerves would mess stuff up. Past that, the explanations tend to veer into homeopathy which makes no sense.

Chiropractic medicine is much like alchemy. It started as mystical bullshit, but actually spawned a useful science (Alchemy led to chemistry), as there are plenty of very real porblems caused by misaligned bones and similar. Unfortunately, Chiropractic medicine is too young to have lost all of the baggage (to continue the analogy, some alchemical magic was still present in chemistry as late as the 19th century) that is left over from the "magic" era.

I get those thoughts occasionally, and I placate them by imagining that the nameless background characters in TV shows are actually the stars of their own TV show.
I have yet to hear disembodied applause whenever I enter a room.
Well obviously you're in a modern single-camera comedy or some sort of drama then.

That is the most metal thing ever.
You want something really metal? Apparently flamingos breed in that lake. Not just survive. They freaking multiply. In/around that doomwater.

There is no narrator, so it can't be a documentary..
Oh no.. I hope my life is not a.. a.. reality show! *shudders*

It could be a "The Office"-style mockumentary. Do you ever find yourself just talking to yourself alone in regards to what's currently going on? Like a soliloquy, except you're always in a room by yourself when you do it?

EDIT: There is also the possibility you're in something like Scrubs or Peep Show where you just think your thoughts and they are spoken aloud to the audience.

I got stung by a bee. On the finger.

Now, from my understanding, bees usually don't sting unless you a) wreck up their hives or b) crush them, which means you, not the bee, are applying the skin-breaking force. And that's where the WTF comes in. I did neither of those things. It just sort of brushed against my finger while I was moving my hand and stung me. And then flew away and curled up and died, like bees do.

At least my suffering removed one more bee from the Earth.

Don't you know that the bee population is on decline?

I've taken to narrating my friends at school, just to confuse them. "When we last left our hero, (name), she was stranded in a chemistry test, her only study guide lost."
