Fuck, I had to move to an entirely different dorm block because my previous one needed to be sanitized. Fucking hell. Now I gotta start all over again and unpack everything so that it matches my previous setup.

Edit: There's a drawer that's part of my new desk. It's supposed to be lockable, and there's a hole in it to put in your own padlock. Whoever made this thing was so incompetent, that the metal gate thing that's supposed to prevent people from opening that drawer when it's in the "locked" position is rendered completely ineffective. How? The lock's been installed too low, so you can literally just open the drawer willy-nilly, even if it's supposedly "locked".

In other news, the "L" key on my laptop's keyboard is acting up.
I got it to work, but it only started working after I pressed it hard a few times. This is not the first time this winter, but it was the worst.

Okay, so now people (I assume they're police of some description) are wrapping all the dorm blocks (including the one I've been relocated to) in white-and-red warning tape. The fuck? What's going on? Does this mean anything? Do I have to go back home soon?

Something about wanting to sanitize the place (and ants?), from asking earlier? Seems a bit odd to relocate me if all the blocks are apparently getting this treatment. Why not just give me and everyone else a day's notice to leave? Government did that during the first full lockdown, so I'm not sure what they're trying to accomplish by wrapping all the blocks (including the one I've been moved to) in warning tape.

Edit: I just realized I forgot my canned sardines in my previous dorm room. I did bring my eggs and milk powder to my new room, so I think my fuckedness rating isn't particularly high; just that I'd have to go through eggs (and these are small ones) and milk powder at an accelerated rate. Plus, I don't even know how long I'm even gonna be here, considering the confusing situation I'm currently in.

And they are not kicking people out, merely relocating them within the dorms?
It still seems strange to me.

I would expect the procedure be:
1. Dorm management relocates people
2. Dorm management sanitizes building and gets rid of ants.
3. People get to return.

Of course it is possible that they are going to sanitize all the buildings sequentialy, but I do not get why would they get the police involved for that.

Not the police police, strictly speaking. They're basically just guards that have been given the title of "Assistant Police" (roughly translating). Their jurisdiction ends the moment they're outside the uni. Not too sure why'd they do that (I think they recruit from the same pool as the real police), rather than just hire security from a private firm or something. Maybe private security's too easy to bribe?
